In the seventies, interest in music and more specifically the guitar began with Jimi Hendrix
to hear the work. Symphonic Rock Band “Recompensa” is the first step towards bigger stages.
Private guitar lessons with Marcel Bossu made Jazz a new challenge. Bands like “Groover”
Middelheim 1982 and “Tough Talk” Middelheim 1985 had a stimulating effect on the start of
studies at the Rotterdam Conservatory (1990-95).
In the Netherlands, this period coincides with the Band “D'Wys” Ronnie Scott's Jazzclub London
with Candy Dulfer as guest and countless Dutch stages. From 1995 to 2022 guitar teacher at the
Antwerp Jazz Studio. The trio of “Dirk Van der Linden” has been one since the mid-90s until now
regular outlet through which various domestic and foreign artists are guided.
Paul Freeman has been a highly appreciated musician since the 1970s.
